A compact and smart module that turns your PC or laptop into a fully-fledged Digital Oscilloscope and a Signal Generator. No more heavy, expensive, dangerous (high voltage), power hungry and large footprint analogue scopes. Instead an elegant, small, low power, fully featured and safe piece of equipment that upgrades your lab instruments. Ideal for capturing once-occurring events, not possible with an analogue scope, the DSG samples at up to 20 or 30 MHz with a buffer size of 32 Kbytes. It will generate sine, square and triangular signals in normal and sweep formats. The signal generator is programmable to generate any waveform and supports data input from Microsoft Excel. With both Scope and Signal Generator functions, the DSG becomes a versatile component tester. It plugs into a PC printer port. DSG also provides another use for old redundant PCs.
The software is easy to learn and simple to use, yet fully featured. No pull down menus, instead all scope features are accessed via on screen buttons. Comprehensive display view controls allow portions of data to be selected and viewed easily. Captured data points can be displayed as they are or joined. Cursor measurements allow accurate readout of time and voltage values. Trigger values are also visually displayed and give quick and accurate settings.
